Afikei Orot-Ofakim

Organization: Afikei Orot
Mission Statement: To strengthen the social fabric of Israel’s desert town of Ofakim, through informal educational, social support and empowerment programs.
OTC’s Role: OTC developed a capital campaign for Afikei Orot’s centrally located “A Special World” for programs, events and theatrical performances.

Afikei Orot’s Story
A group of young University graduates banned together in 1997 to return to their home town as a group and strengthen their community in every way. They created a platform for informal education, environmental sustainability, social support and empowerment. They quickly earned the respect and partnership of local schools and city officials.
